How to get to Aruba Heli Tours |

You will fly with us: Christian Daxer - pilot  born on April 9, 1975 in Kaprun, Austria. He has been a helicopter pilot since 2000 and graduated at Glacier Helicopter Flight School in Olympia, WA. He holds following licenses: FAA Commercial license, FAA CFI, FAA Instrument Rating, Austrian CHPL and, of course, the license issued by the DCA Aruba. Before being a helicopter pilot, Christian worked for 10 years as a ski instructor at the Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun, Austria. Already as a little boy he showed a lot of interest in helicopters. Much of the rescuing in the area of his hometown is done by helicopter, and seeing this almost every day made him decide to start a career as a pilot. Of course he's not flying 24/7, Christian's hobbies are skiing and playing ice-hockey, unfortunately both unsuitable for Aruba. Furthermore he likes to go to the cinema, hang out at Café Chaos in town and play with his dogs Wutzi and Lola. Although he loves Aruba, he sometimes misses the four seasons (which is probably true for all non-Arubans) and a "Leberkassemmel mit Gürkerl" once in a while.Peter Wagner - pilot  born on July 23, 1969 in Hamburg, Germany. He has been a helicopter pilot since 2000. His licenses were issued in Louisiana and Olympia, WA. He holds following licenses: FAA Commercial license, FAA Flight Instructor and Austrian CHPL.Before becoming a pilot he worked for 10 years as an electronics specialist in a Volkswagen plant near his hometown. The first major encounter with helicopters was on the German Autobahn, where he saw an EMS Chopper land just in front of his mom’s car. Since then he has been fascinated by these machines and eventually he became a pilot. In his spare time he likes to hang out with friends, work out in the gym, go mountain biking and read a good book. Don’t take it the wrong way: the weather is really great, but sometimes he would like to have some snow. Petrina Koemans - ground hostess  born on October 20, 1969 in The Hague, the Netherlands. She has been working as a ground crew since 2007. It started out as a vacation job during the vacation of one of the pilots, later it became a full-time job. She has a degree in tourism and worked in the Netherlands as a manager at a travel agency. She had traveled to Aruba very frequently before definitely moving here. When she is off, and is not helping out her boyfriend in their rental apartments, she can be found on the beach or snorkeling. She likes to read, spend time with friends, and go shopping. She really likes Aruba, but - of course - she misses Holland (not the weather), her family and friends, and the ready-made-meals of Albert Heijn supermarket (large Dutch supermarket chain). |
